72 Days To Go!

Highlands holds a special place in the hearts of Erin's family. Her parents, Pat and Bob, have lived here for 25 years, and Alexis and Chase spent their childhoods in the gorgeous mountains surrounding the town. There are countless things to enjoy in the area, but here are a few of our favorites!

Sunset Rock is a popular place to hike, and for good reason: a relaxed 30 minute (0.7 mile) walk up the trail will reward you with stunning mountain views. As the name suggests, this natural amphitheater is also a fantastic spot to enjoy the sunset!

The trailhead begins a few minutes outside Downtown Highlands. To get there, head east for 0.5 miles down Main Street until you reach the Highland Nature Center. Park in the gravel section across the road from the Nature Center and follow the signage to the trail.
